Simple Past, irregular verbs: practice 1

These 4 activities are ideal to present some irregular verbs for the first time to young learners. They can play, write and craft! The real “learning by doing” 🙂

3) The flat of verbs (check the number of “windows” copies you will need)

4) Memory game

Extra-tip: Ask your students what they did during a month and start your lessons checking if they remember the verbs thoughout the weeks. After that, ask them to write as many sentences as students are in the classroom without repeating verbs (they can work in pairs). I ensure you that it will help a lot to learn the list of irregular verbs.
